A Week Where Nothing Happened!- Sunday Post

Poppy Sunday Post -page-001Nothing of any note at all has happened this week.  All the creative habits that I have been pushing myself to complete have been abandoned and that’s just fine.   I seem to run in cycles, I will be bored of this nothingness in a couple of weeks and start some new project or go back to an old one and reinvent it, who know I might actually make progress and actually finish something.

Books Finished This week.

glass hotelThe Glass Hotel by Emily St. John Mandel

My Rating: ★★★★☆

This is a fascinating glimpse into the world of money and white collar crime to be specific. This is not a linear book, it jumps all over the place in time and space to tell the story of a Ponzie scheme, its perpetrators and some of its victims. It uses many different POV characters but the one I found most interesting, and is almost the protagonist is Vincent, the “trophy wife” to the billionaire fraudster.

  1. I know how you feel, I’ve been struggling to complete the crochet cardigan I’m working on right now. It’s fun, but because I changed the yarn from the pattern, it seems like I’ll never finish it 😛 It looks like you’re reading some very interesting books. I hope you’re enjoying them. Stay safe and happy reading!

  2. I read Station Eleven by Emily St. John Mandel and though I enjoyed it overall, it really did skip around a lot, from one timeline to another while also weaving them together. It was a little confusing. I’ve been wondering if I should try The Glass Hotel but I might put it off because it seems like a chore right now!
Wonderbook sounds fantastic. Just added it to my TBR!
I hope you have a great week! Take it easy! 🙂

  3. That’s an awful lot of currently reading! I’m pretty much a one book at a time person, unless I’m struggling with one and then I’ll put it aside whilst I read something else.
    Hope you enjoy them all!

  4. You have an interesting variety of books on your Currently Reading stack. I hope you love them all. Come see my week here. Happy reading!
